Caryn Ches, Licensed Massage Therapist

Caryn is the massage department manager and offers an array of services. She performs massages, hot stone massage therapy, raindrop therapy, and is certified in pregnancy massages. Caryn has been working for Salon by Debbie Spa for seven and a half years and has begun schooling to become a licensed esthetician, as well! She is dedicated to massage therapy and says that, “True beauty can only be achieved when there is harmony between the mind, body, and spirit.”  Caryn believes in the power of massage therapy and enjoys showing her clients the benefits as well.

 

Susan L. Cortese, Licensed Massage Therapist, NCBTMB

Susan brings more than 20 years of experience to Spa on The Avenue, where she performs relaxation massages, deep tissue massages, and Chakra energy work. She was trained at the Baltimore School of Massage and the Baltimore School of Shiatsu, and is certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB). Susan believes it is important to facilitate a healing process and to ensure that the client becomes aware of the connection between the mind and body in order to deliver a positive experience. She loves that her job allows her to explore new techniques and to discover different approaches for each client.

 

Julio Fernandez, Registered Massage Practitioner

Julio is a professional at a variety of massages at Spa on the Avenue. He graduated from the Baltimore School of Massage and has had advanced training in reflexology, as well as sports massage therapy. Julio’s passion is sports massage therapy and he aspires is to work with professional athletes one day.

 

Joyce Horstman, Certified Massage Therapist

A graduate of the CCBC Massage Therapy Program, Joyce has been with Spa on The Avenue since 2002, performing Swedish massages, pregnancy massages, deep tissue massages, and hot stone massages, as well as body wraps and scrubs. Joyce has loved every single day of her career because she thoroughly enjoys helping her clients feel better. She believes in the power of massage and says that it is sure to rid her clients of their stress, physical or mental.

 

Christina Inches, Registered Massage Practitioner

When she’s not caring for her clients at Spa on The Avenue, Christina is a teaching assistant at Baltimore School of Massage, the same school at which she trained. Christina believes it is important to have positive energy and a good spirit in order to deliver an enjoyable client experience. Her favorite part of her job is being able to help a client feel relief from pain and problem areas and achieve a state of relaxation. Christina also has advanced training in body scrubs.

 

Kimberly Jones-Coco, Licensed Massage Therapist, NCBTMB

Certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB), Kimberly specializes in Swedish, deep tissue and hot stone massage therapies. “My favorite part of the job is seeing clients experience the benefits of massage—mind, body and soul,” she says. Kim is a graduate of the Massage Therapy degree program at CCBC Essex. Fun fact: She is a descendant of Benjamin Franklin!

 

Judith M. Mann, Licensed Massage Therapist

Judy began her career in 2000 after training at the Baltimore School of Massage and has worked with Salon by Debbie Spa since September of 2008. In addition to her massage therapy license, Judy is also a State of Maryland Registered Chiropractic Assistant. She has pursued further education at Massage Continuing Education and has been certified in many areas, including Comparative Stretching Techniques, Healing Stone Therapy, and Orthopedic Massage for Lower Extremity Conditions. Judy is the Baltimore City Representative for the Maryland Chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association and has been a member since 1998. Judy believes in listening to her clients and addressing their needs, goals, and boundaries for each session. “Being present for them in a positive way puts the client at ease and lets them know they are in good hands,” says Judy. “It builds a trusting professional relationship between client and therapist.”

 

Anna Paterniti, Certified Massage Therapist

Anna offers Spa on The Avenue’s complete suite of massage therapy and body treatment services, as well as more than 12 years of experience in the art of massage. Trained at the Baltimore School of Massage, Anna makes a point of listening to her clients’ needs at every session. “Every session is different,” says Anna, “even if a client and I have worked together for years.” Anna is certified in pregnancy massage and regionally recognized for her prenatal trigger point therapy.

 

Cassidy Reeves, Licensed Massage Therapist, NCBTMB

Certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB), Cassidy offers a complete range of spa body treatments and massage services, including Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, and pregnancy massage. Cassidy’s approach to each client is simple: listen and customize. “I listen to what the client tells me, as well as what their body tells my hands,” she explains. “Then I use that information to completely customize the session for maximum results.”

 

Audrey Wilkins, Registered Massage Practitioner

A member of the Salon by Debbie Spas team since 2013, Audrey trained at the Baltimore School of Massage and has been practicing since 2006. She believes it is important to provide a peaceful experience for her clients and listen to what each client would like to achieve through treatment. Knowing that she made a difference in helping a client feel better is her favorite part of her job.

 

Danielle Williams, Licensed Massage Therapist

Danielle is a Licensed Massage Therapist and has been a member of the Salon by Debbie Spa team since 2003. She offers Spa on The Avenue clients a host of massage services, including Swedish, deep tissue and myofascial release therapies. A graudate of the Massage Therapy program at CCBC Essex, Danielle has mastered the art of delivering a customized massage that matches each client’s unique needs. “I love seeing my clients feeling better when they leave a session,” she says.

 

Becks Wright-Veader, Licensed Massage Therapist

Becks is a Licensed Massage Therapist who trained at Blue Cliff College in California. She has been a part of Salon by Debbie Spa since 2009 and enjoys improving the lives of her clients on a physical, mental, or spiritual level. Becks’ beauty and wellness philosophy is that all things are beautiful and should be taken care of as such.
