Merci Johnston Bachman, Nail Technician & Makeup Artist
With more than 15 years’ experience in the industry, Merci is an accomplished nail technician and makeup artist who has been listed on Baltimore’s Best City Search for Best Mani/Pedi and worked with a range of celebrity clients, including Ray Lewis, Lardarius Webb and Shannon Sharpe. Specially trained in Shellac, OPI Axxium and permanent cosmetics, Merci has studied at the Robert’s Institute of Hair Design, the nationally renowned Von Lee International School of Aesthetics, the American Academy of Permanent Cosmetics in Los Angeles, and various MAC Cosmetic Master Classes. She currently offers manicure, pedicure, acrylic, Shellac and OPI Gel Color services to clients, as well as makeup application.
Faithea Butler, Nail Technician
Faithea is a manicurist and cosmetologist at Spa on the Avenue. She offers comprehensive nail services, including pedicures and manicures. Faithea also offers waxing services at the Spa. Faithea loves her work because of the relationships she forms with clients. “I love to share nail care tips or just simply listen,” says Faithea, “It’s very important to go that extra mile for the client.”
Tracy Kyger, Nail Technician
A graduate of the Maryland Beauty Academy with more than 25 years of experience, Tracy offers manicures and pedicures to a long roster of loyal Spa on The Avenue clients. “My goal is to make every client feel special for my time with her—and of course do a lovely job on her nails and toes,” she explains. Clients love her attentive yet fun approach: “You’re never to old to wear pink sparkle nail polish,” Tracy says.
Nancy Trout, Nail Technician & Reflexologist
Nancy brings an impressive list of credentials to Spa on The Avenue. A graduate of the Maryland Beauty Academy, she is certified in Shellac and OPI Axxium nail care, and also received her certificate of achievement in integrative reflexology after studying under Claire Marie Miller, a 2010 Massage Hall of Fame inductee. Today, Nancy offers manicures, pedicures and reflexology massage treatments to Spa on The Avenue clients. “Beauty starts within,” she says, “but the right nail color can bring any goddess alive.”
Ashlyn White, Nail Technician
Having grown up in the nail business, Ashlyn always knew her calling. “I love everything about this job,” she says. Ashlyn’s services include natural nail manicures, pedicures and Shellac nail care. Clients enjoy her attention to detail and her eye for the latest trends. “The rules have changed,” Ashlyn explains of current nail trends. “You no longer need matching manis and pedis.”
