Michelle has been with the Salon by Debbie family for 24 years. She is a Goldwell Master Colorist and a former cosmetology educator. She specializes in blonding processes, perming, precision cutting, color, highlights, and fine hair. Michelle is a third-generation hairstylist and learned the trade from her grandmother who owned her own salon and from her mother, who still does hair at 79! Under promise and over deliver is her motto! She goes above and beyond to make sure her guest's experience is everything they're expecting and more.

Lynette Sutherland

Platinum Designer  & Hair Department Manager

Lynette began her career in beauty over 30 years ago. She joined the Spa on The Avenue team 18 years ago and has been growing her skills set ever since. She has been trained by all the top brands in the biz including Goldwell, KMS, Sebastian and Wella. She has also attended educational events in Paris and New York. Lynette specializes in razor cutting, corrective color, formal styling, and braids.  The secret lesson that Lynette has carried with her over the years is all about consultation and making sure her guests leave with the tools and products needed to achieve for themselves what's been done in the salon. She always says "if you want good health, follow your doctor. If you want good hair, follow your stylist!"

Traci Nies

Platinum Designer 

Traci has been with the Spa on The Avenue family for over 19 years. Her specialties include but are not limited to highlights, balayage and ombre & extensions. Traci is a Wella Master Color Expert, KMS IQ Cutting trained and a certified Cinderella Hair Extension Artist. In addition to continuing education being paramount to Traci's success, she also focuses on clear and concise consultations and providing superior customer service.

 

Julie Brooks

Platinum Designer

Julie has been in the beauty industry for over 29 years and a member of the Spa on The Avenue team for 6 years. Her specialties include all aspects of hair color, cutting and styling.

 

Scott Figgins

Gold Stylist

Trained at Maryland Beauty Academy, Scott has been in the beauty industry for over 10 years and has been part of the Spa on The Avenue team for 6 years. Scott specializes in color, highlighting, Balayage, Ombre, precision cuts and keratin services. Being creative while listening to what his guests want and need, give Scott the opportunity to customize color, cut and style to fit each of his guests' personality, fashion and lifestyle.  

 

Lindsey Fluke

Gold Stylist

Lindsey has been practicing the art of hairdressing since 2010. In 2014, she joined the Spa on The Avenue family and has been expanding her knowledge and honing her skills ever since. Her specialties include color, precision cutting, color corrections and balayage. In addition to being a Master of Everything and Nothing, Lindsey also holds certifications as a Wella Master Colorist and Wella Master Stylist. Always thirsting to know more, lessons never stop for Lindsey. You can always find her in the salon testing out a new technique or observing her senior stylists at work.

 

Katie Gresdo

Gold Designer

Katie has been in the beauty industry for 14 years and joined the Spa on The Avenue family 2 years ago. Her favorite services to perform are pixie cuts and exploring with fashion colors because they are such an amazing way to express creativity and uniqueness. If you're looking for a dramatic makeover, look no further! Katie is truly passionate about creating huge colorful changes for her clients. 

 

Foula Karelas     

Platinum Designer

Foula received her education at Robert Paul Academy 16 years ago and has been part of the Spa on The Avenue team for 3 years. Her specialties include cuts, color & highlights. Her favorite service to offer is balayage highlighting because of the opportunity it provides to add dimension and brighten your hair.

 

Stephanie Kistner

Gold Stylist

Practicing the art of hairdressing for the past 13 years, Stephanie has been with the Spa on The Avenue family for the entire length of her career. She specializes in barbering, foil balayage, human hair extensions and multi-dimensional color. Stephanie has spent time in New York being educated by top industry artists and houses of hair design. To deliver a true quality experience, Stephanie always takes her time to understand what her clients are asking for and then delivers what’s best not only for their looks but for the integrity of their hair. The favorite part of the job for Steph is the art behind human interaction. 

 

Lisa Miller

Platinum Stylist

In the industry for over 20 years, Lisa joined the Spa on The Avenue family two years ago. She specializes in color, highlights, Balayage, men’s and women’s cuts.  Trained at Robert Paul Academy, Lisa loves to do color and highlights. She's dedicated to taking her time with each guest, so they get a natural result that truly compliments their features. 

 

Cat Mills

Gold Designer & New Talent Program Mentor

Cat has been with the Spa on The Avenue team for 4 years. She earned her cosmetology license from the Robert Paul Academy. She offers men's and women's cuts, color, formal styling and keratin services. Her favorite service to perform is balayage highlighting because getting that perfect tone of blonde is super rewarding, for her and the client! Cat's clients leave feeling confident with a smile on their face. 

 

 Brenda Paulshock

Platinum Designer

Having owned her own salon for over 25 years, Spa on The Avenue was happy to welcome Brenda to the team 14 years ago. As a platinum designer, she specializes in cutting, foiling, formal styling and undercut designs. Brenda was trained in Baltimore and New York City and is proud to have travelled the U.S. as a Clairol Color Consultant. Her work has been featured in Baltimore Magazine and has won awards for color, cut and makeup throughout the region. Brenda comes to work every day with one job in mind… make every client in her chair look and feel beautiful. Seeing the smile on her clients face with how happy they are with their results makes her job that much more rewarding.

Bethany Carpenter

Silver Designer

Bethany earned her Cosmetology license over 7 years ago and joined the Stylist team at Spa on The Avenue in 2022. Her favorite services to perform are balayage and traditional highlights, keratin smoothing treatments and vivid color applications. Bethany is dedicated to continuing education in order to take her skills to the next level. She is a frequent student of Wella, Goldwell and Redken. In her spare time, Bethany loves to go to New York to attend their well-known trade shows, where she always finds something new to bring back into the salon.

Janessa, a graduate of our New Talent Program, is now thriving as a Silver level stylist with the Spa on The Avenue team. She compares being a stylist to being a  magician, and her skills certainly back that up. She is most complimented on her relaxed, calming energy that makes her clients feel comfortable and heard. Her specialties include vivid colors and blonding.  If Janessa was a superhero, her superpower would be reading minds.

As a Beauty Enhancement Specialist, Marzzz focuses on bringing her guests' natural beauty to light. Her specialties include "lived in" blondes and silk presses. Marzzz ideal guest is someone who wants to invest in the health of their hair while getting to relax duirng their service. Attention to detail and custom tailoring a service plan for her guest is key to delivering a quality experience. Marzzz was educated at The Aveda Institute and joined the Spa on The Avenue team in 2023. She holds certifications from Olaplex, K-18, Wella Color, Keratin Complex and Pardon My Glow Makeup.

Kim Dickens

Nail Technician & Department Manager

6 years ago, Kim apprenticed with us in-house to become a Licensed Nail Technician. She performs natural nail manicures, pedicures and gel services. What Kim enjoys most about her job is helping people to relax and get relief from common foot problems. Foot care is under rated and overly important. Monthly pedicures shouldn't be considered an indulgence but a part of your health and wellness routine. During your time with Kim, she makes it her priority to make you feel special and valued while receiving a quality service.

Merci Bachman

Nail Technician

23 years ago Merci began her career in nail artistry. She joined the Spa on The Avenue team over 8 years ago and has been hard at work building her fan base ever since! Her favorite service to perform is a gel manicure but she also offers natural nail manicures as well as pedicures. In addition to nails, Merci is also a makeup artist and has done hair and makeup for several events local and abroad over the years. When having a seat at Merci's table, you will be wowed by work that is clean, precise and creative.

 

Christy Greiner

Nail Technician

Christy has been in the industry for over 27 years. She joined the Salon by Debbie family 8 years ago at Spa on The Boulevard and recently transferred to the Spa on The Avenue team. Christy's passion is doing nails. She enjoys the creative process and individual expression that nail art provides. Christy is a nail design expert and is famous for her perfect flowers! She has been featured in NAILS Magazine and has done nails for a reality tv show. A seat at Christy's table includes lots of pampering that leaves you feeling beautiful with perfect nails. Besides nails, Christy believes the most beautiful thing you can wear is a smile :) 

 

Raisa Ibadov

Nail Technician

Practicing for over 35 years, Raisa has certainly seen the industry blossom over the years. She holds certifications from CND, Gelish and OPI. She performs manicures and gel manicures but her favorite service to offer is a pedicure. She says it’s the best service to make a client happy for a long time plus maintaining foot health is an important part of self -care. When in Raisa's chair, she likes to create a relaxing, quiet and mutually respectful place for her guests to enjoy their time in the spa. She loves to see her clients happy time and time again and loves to help them pick colors and accessories so they can have a little fun!

 

Kelly Wallace

Nail Technician

Kelly has been part of the Spa on The Avenue family for 19 years and counting! All in total she has over 30 years’ experience and goes above and beyond for each and every one of her guests. Kelly specializes in manicures, pedicures, gel polish and acrylic work. She refers to her relationships at work, with guests and coworkers alike, as her second family. Caring about the end result and paying attention to the details are the secret to her success!

 

Ashlyn White

Nail Technician

10 years ago, Ashlyn apprenticed in-house to be a spa-quality nail tech and has been in the department ever since. She has a perfectionist's eye and enjoys working with gel polish. Having grown up around a nail table, Ashlyn has an understanding of polish colors to complement any occasion a guest may have.

Barbara Stender

Esthetician & Department Manager

Barbara has been with Spa on The Avenue since September of 2020. Her specialties include facials and all waxings. She is a certified Dermalogica Expert, as well as Dermaplane and HydraFacial certified. Barbara has a passion for skincare that goes beyond her treatment room. Besides leaving her guests in a pure state of relaxation, they also leave educated on what service to book next along with home care products needed to maintain their glow!

Carol Ercole

Esthetician & Makeup Artist

Carol has been a part of the Baltimore beauty scene for over 30 years. She started her career with our very own Debbie Nazelrod. She joined the Spa on The Avenue team 16 years ago. Carol offers all aspects of skincare including facials, waxing, lash & brow tint and makeup. She is a Dermalogica Expert, HydraFacial certified and an accomplished Eminence Master Level esthetician.  Her makeup artistry has been featured in Baltimore Magazine. Booking a treatment in Carol's room will leave you relaxed and pampered with a renewed sense of balance to your fast-paced life.

Becky has been in the beauty industry for 30 years and with the Salon by Debbie family for 20. Educated at Von Lee International School of Esthetics, Becky specializes in facials, waxing, lash lifts & tint, manicures and pedicures. She is also HydraFacial certified. Becky loves to help people feel better about themselves and believes that our industry isn't just about beauty. It's also about listening, communication, empathy and understanding.

Brienne, a graduate of Von Lee International School of Esthetics, joined Spa on The Avenue in early 2022. Her favorite part of being an esthetician is helping her clients achieve their skincare goals. She has a passion for developing skin care routines and making product recommendations that make sense for her clients lifestyle.

Shanzia joined our spa family in 2022. As a skin care specialist, she performs facials, waxing, makeup applications and brow design services. Her ideal client is someone who  loves to relax! She is most often complimented on her focus to details pertaining to sanitation and cleanliness and what she enjoys most about her job is being a part of her guest's self transformation. She loves knowing the work she does will always contribute to someone feeling more positive and confident.

Kailee Harrington

Kailee joined Spa on The Avenue in the summer of 2023. As an esthetician, she focuses on meeting her clients' skincare needs by making a plan that allows them to achieve their best results quickly and easily. Kailee's goal is to provide both results and relaxation. She is most complimented on her massage techniques and gentle touch. She creates a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere in her treatment room  with each guests' visit and goes above and beyond to pamper. What Kailee enjoys most about being an esthtician is meeting new people and helping them feel more confident in their skin.

Kim Coco

Massage Therapist & Department Manager

10 years ago Kim joined the Spa on The Avenue family and established her career in Massage Therapy. She specializes in Swedish, Myofascial, Hot Stone and Pregnancy massage as well as Raindrop Therapy. Her favorite service to perform is the Aveda Stress Fix massage because it incorporates a little bit of everything needed to get her clients into a deeply relaxed state. Kim received her training from CCBC Essex Massage Therapy program and has been awarded Baltimore's Best Massage by Baltimore Magazine. A session with Kim has been called magical by many of her regulars because she seems to be able to connect to all the right areas that need attention without them having to say a word! When she's not here in her treatment room, her two young sons love when she works her magic on them.

 

Katie Kline

Massage Therapist

Katie has been practicing the art of massage therapy for the last 7 years. She is a graduate of Baltimore School of Massage and her specialties include Deep Tissue massage and Chinese Cupping Therapy. Katie is known among her regular client base for her foot work. Make an appointment for an Ultimate Foot Massage with Katie...you'll be amazed! Katie's number one priority in the treatment room is to make sure her guests are comfortable, warm and secure in what can be a very vulnerable state.

 

Danielle Williams

Danielle joined the Spa on The Avenue family 18 years ago in our Shampoo department. Nine years ago,she graduated from the CCBC Essex Massage Therapy program and joined our team of Massage Therapists. Danielle offers a wide array of massage services and also Cupping. Her favorite service to perform is the Lemongrass and Ginger Massage because it smells soooo amazing! The power of touch is an amazing gift that Danielle has been given. To be able to relieve her guests of aches, pains and stresses is why Danielle loves her job.

Kimmone is a graduate of CCBC Massage Therapy program. She joined the a Salon by Debbie family in 2021 and has been busy building a loyal fan base ever since. Her key to a successful client experience is open communication and paying attention not only to the words her clients speak but also to how their bodies speak to her. Knowing she is making her client feel better, relieving their pain and bringing a little light to their day is what Kimmone values most about the special job she does.

Angela Green

Massage Therapist

With us since 2013, Angela has worked at all three a Salon by Debbie locations. Angela received her training with Baltimore School of Massage and holds special certifications in prenatal and hot stone massage as well as reflexology. Angela's ideal client is someone with chronic issues who is looking for someone to invest in their healing. In particular, her areas of expertise lie in the neck, back, hips, feet and rotator cuffs. Her philosophy when on her table is to find and treat the cause, not just easing the symptoms. If Angela could create her own job title it would be Physiology Repair Technician...and who doesn't need one of those?!!

Burgandy started with a Salon by Debbie in 2015 at our Spa in The Valley location. After a brief hiatus to focus on family, she joined the Spa on The Avenue Massage Therapy team. Educated at Baltimore School of Massage, Burgandy refers to herself as a Wellness Facilitator. She is most complimented on her comforting demeanor and her attention to detail. She is a firm believer in taking time out for yourself and having the opportunity to be a part of someone else's self care plan is a privilege.

Keisha joined the Spa on The Avenue team in 2023. She trained at Baltimore School of Massage and specializes in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, Prenatal and Hot Stone massage. Keisha melts away the stresses of life through her relaxing touch. She is most complimented on her calming aura and foot work. Anyone who loves massage is an ideal guest for Keisha. If she were a superhero, her superpower would be to duplicate her hands to offer multiple massages at once while working on herself!

Jerrika McCauley

Massage Therapist

Jerrika is a self described "muscle tenderizer" and joined our team in 2023! A graduate of The Fortis Institute, Jerrika specializes in deep tissue work and is most complimented on her natural ability to be able to gauge the exact amount of pressure needed to find all the knots. In addition to deep tissue work, Jerrika holds certifications in Prenatal and Hot Stone therapies. Jerrika enjoys helping her guests with chronic pain the most by customizing each session and developing a long term visit plan. When Jerrika isn't massaging, she enjoys shooting billiards and reading.
